DARAA TRIBES - "LAKBAYL"

On this incredibly uplifting and engaging composition by the Daraa Tribes project from the different tribes and musical styles that make up the Southern Daraa Valley of Morocco. As the press release states, each member of the band comes from a different tribe - Aarib, Ragaga, Amazigh, Kaaba, Gnawa. According to the press release, “Lakbayl represents this diversity and the general attitude of peace, tolerance and social cohesion, so integral to life in the Southern Daraa Valley of Morocco. Tribes may have different languages, histories, clothes and customs but all are respected and celebrated as vibrant aspects of local society. This is Daraa Tribes message to the world: to acknowledge, respect, and celebrate cultural and ethnic diversity.” Musically, the melding of voices and approaches to music create an incredibly uplifting mixture of voice and instrument.
